RHCA Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Certification
NFPA 96 states that kitchen exhaust cleaning must be done by a trained, qualified and certified cleaner. RHCA offers three levels of certification to choose from. Below is each level and what is required to reach that level of Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Certification.

| Journeyman* | 2 | Demonstrate through practical application, a knowledge of how to clean basic kitchen exhaust systems. Pass Apprentice test on NFPA 96, cleaning and safety. Passing grade is 80%
| $200 |
| Master* | 5 | Demonstrate through practical application, an expert knowlege of how to clean any type of kitchen exhaust system. Pass Master test on NFPA 96 cleaning and safety. Passing grade is 90% Full tool inspection.

*These tests must be administered by a Master Hood Cleaner
Once the online Apprenticeship test is passed, you will be certified per NFPA 96 to clean kitchen exhaust systems. Journeyman and Master levels can only be attained through actual kitchen exhaust cleaning.
